Amir Khan is a leading public health professional with diverse experience in research, strategic planning, programme development, as well as implementation and management of projects/interventions. The range of his research work includes randomized controlled trial, policy reviews, prospective intervention studies, surveys, evaluation studies, qualitative studies, economic analysis, and stakeholder analysis. Many of the research work has already been published in peer reviewed journals including Lancet, Health Policy and Planning, IUATLD Journal, and Social Science Medicine. Currently he is coordinating a DFID supported five-year communicable disease research programme in Pakistan (April 2006- March 2011).  The development experience includes: national and provincial level strategic planning, project formulation, development of interventions, systems and guidelines, as well as development of training materials for managers, care providers and communities. The management and project implementation experiences include: country director of rural health care delivery programme in three provinces of Pakistan (six years), multi-partner research activities with national disease control programmes, working linkages with overseas teaching institutions, and TB and malaria interventions in about fifty districts of Pakistan. Based on recognized performance in the field of public health, elected as a Chair of the IUATLD Health Systems Strengthening and TB Education Working Group (2001 – to date), Vice  and then Chair of IUATLD TB Scientific Section (2003 – 2007), member of IUATLD Ethics Advisory Group (2003 – 2008), and member of Executive Board (2008 – to date). Since 2008, the University of Leeds has appointed him Senior Lecturer Public Health (honorary).

Dr. Salman Shahid graduated from King Edward Medical College, Lahore and later acquired post-graduate qualifications i.e. DMRT and MPH. He has also got Diplomas in Project Management and Human Resource Management to his credit.

He has served for more than 34 years in Government and private sector as well as international organizations. He has got diverse experience in public health, regulatory bodies, hospital management and medical education.

He served in provincial unified Health Department and later in Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department in different capacities. He remained Additional Secretary Technical for more than seven years. Thus, he gained hands-on experience of laws, policies, rules and regulations.

During his career, he had the privilege to head four Government provincial level organizations. In this regard, he remained Program Manager, Punjab AIDS Control Program for almost six years. The other organizations headed by him included Punjab Medical Faculty, Strategic Management & Internal Policy Unit and Provincial HMIS Program. In addition, he also remained Project Manager, in a GFATM funded project in Punjab.

Dr. Salman Shahid had been actively involved in functions of a number of regulatory bodies in different capacities. These included Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority (as a member), Punjab Healthcare Commission (as a member of Technical Advisory Committee), Provincial Quality Control Board (as Vice Chairperson), Punjab Pharmacy Council (as Vice President), Punjab Medical Faculty (as Vice President as well as Secretary, PMF).

He was a regular member of a number of provincial committees including Provincial Admission Committee for undergraduate medical students, Post-Graduate Admission Committee, Corona Experts Advisory Committee etc.

Arshad Iqbal is a public health professional with main expertise and experience in delivering and managing health care at public and private sector hospitals and health care outlets. The health care delivery experience includes about seven years, as Medical Officer, at public and non-public hospitals. The management experience includes about three years as District Health Officer; and two years Head Medical and Hospital Supplies; and one year as Administrator Municipal Committee. The project management experience includes mainly: two-year as Health Officer in a community health project with Greenstar social marketing , regional manager of GFATM MDR-TB project in six teaching hospitals of Punjab, and manager of GFATM malaria control project in districts of Sindh and Baluchistan, currently working and program manager PPM-TB DoTs in fifteen districts of Punjab. As a manager he has been responsible for managing the project resources including supervising the team members, coordinating and planning the project activities, and liaison with the provincial programmes as well as district health officials and respective funding bodies.

Nida Khan is a public health professional/ economist with a decade of experience in research, development, implementation and management of healthcare interventions. The range of her research work includes design, conduct, analysis and dissemination of multiple research activities mostly cluster randomized controlled trials, economic evaluations and process evaluation studies on: a) Maternal and neonatal health, e) Tobacco cessation, b) Diabetes- Hypertension (CVD), c) Lung health (asthma & COPD), d) TB/ MDR-TB, e) Tobacco cessation, f) ECD (0-12months), g) ECD (13-24 months), h) Mental health of children and adults, i) Hepatitis. She has also been a member of the team responsible for developing contextualized intervention implementation products (guidelines, staff training and patient education) for various healthcare interventions on communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases and mental health. Her implementation experience includes: 4 years working as COMDIS-HSD Project Coordinator (a DFID supported research and development grant). As Coordinator she has been responsible for planning and managing the project activities and outputs as well as manage resources. She has also contributed in assisting the NCD/MH program to scale the evidence-based interventions in Punjab. She is also currently responsible for monitoring and evaluation of various projects such as: i) All-oral short term regimen for TB/ MDR-TB (WHO funded); ii) TB Survivor engagement (funded by STOP TB Partnership- CFCS grant); iii) Enhanced urban TB care in 13 districts of Pakistan by linking private clinics and labs with 3 types of private allied health providers and women vocational training opportunities (TB Reach- wave 7 grant); iv) Decentralized Hepatitis C care at primary healthcare facilities in 6 districts of Punjab (funded by The Hepatitis Fund); v) Integrated Diabetes Care at public healthcare facilities in 10 districts of Punjab.

Muhammad Ahmar Khan is a young qualified public health professional. The experience include: intervention development, project management, and evaluation of health care interventions. The intervention development experience includes his participation in: hepatitis care-package for public hospitals; mental health care intervention for MDR-TB patients; early child development at primary and secondary level public facilities; integrate thedelivery of birth-dose (HBV vaccine) into obstetric care at public facilities. The project management experience include: monitor and support Hepatitis C care at pilot hospitals; monitor and support MDR-TB care at selected teaching hospitals. The health care evaluation experience includes his significant contribution to design, collect and analyze data, also write-up of: two trials and multiple process evaluation studies; some of these have already been published.

Mr. Athar Nazir is a scientist with diverse more than twenty year experience of operational research, programme development, and project implementation and monitoring. His operational research experience includes: development, implementation and compiling of randomized controlled trial in Pakistan, conduct and compiling of two anthropological and an economic study on TB trial patients, survey of 104 health facilities in four districts of Pakistan, multi-method studies on treatment supporter and fixed-doze combination for TB patients, study on diagnosis of smear-negative tuberculosis, and capacity assessment of Anti-TB Association clinic network in Pakistan. His development experience includes: field-testing of guidelines and training and communication materials for TB, malaria and STI care providers and managers. He has also been a member of the team responsible for evaluating and refining the programme guidelines and materials. He has trained a number of provincial and district level master trainers for TB control programme. His implementation experience includes: operationalizing NTP case management guidelines at hospitals and rural health centers of twenty districts, operationalizing STI case management guidelines at selected health centers, operationalizing community mobilization for TB control in twenty districts, monitoring the project performance at facility and district levels, coordinating the ITN promotion intervention in rural areas of Islamabad.
In 2011 he had worked as regional coordinator in GFATM-supported projects i.e. i) Hospital DOTS Linkage (HDL) interventions to introduce and strengthen TB-DOTS in teaching hospitals in nine districts of Pakistan ii) Implementation of global drug funds project in 8 districts of AJK iii) From 2012-2014 working in Public-Private Mix Interventions for TB Control in 4 districts of KPK iii) from 2015 to date working in 4 districts of Punjab and 1 district federal capital.
As a regional coordinator- PPM, recently he has mainly been responsible for implementation of the project in his districts, coordinating with district health department, programme as well as district officials. He has two international level publications in the field of Malaria &Tobacco cessation. Received best outstanding performance award on achieving PPM targets from mercysorps in 2017 .

Prior to ASD, he has worked with different health related National level projects including Polio Program, Health Facilities Audit Program and Punjab Nutrition Program. He was actively involved in providing solutions relevant to socio-cultural, environmental, financial and political frameworks of Pakistan. For completing these assignments, he has extensively travelled across different areas of Pakistan.

Naila Muzaffar is a qualified public health professional with 4 years of experience in the field. She has worked in various national and international projects focused on child & adolescent mental health, maternal nutrition and childhood respiratory illnesses. She has been involved in developing and adapting psychological interventions, evaluation of interventions through randomized control trials in the rural settings of Pakistan, coordinating and planning different research activities. She is skilled in conducting training workshops, carrying out both quantitative and qualitative interviews, data analysis, writing proposals, reports and translation of manuscripts.
