Public-private partnership for enhanced TB case finding in 15 districts of Punjab and Islamabad (July 01, 2015 to Dec 31, 2017) Less than desired level of TB case finding at public facilities; a network of qualified private practitioners in urban settings; engagement for enhanced TB case finding. Location: Islamabad and 14 districts in Punjab provinces. Activities: Map, select and brand private clinics and laboratories, as per program guidelines, in consultation with the respective district health offices; Supplement material inputs at participating clinics (e.g. drugs, weighing scale, print materials)and laboratories (e.g. microscope, laboratory reagents/supplies, print materials) Train the private clinic doctors and allied staff; also private laboratory staff for TB care as per program protocols Assist private clinics and laboratories to maintain records and prepare quarterly reports Arrange and conduct chest camps to reach the unreached. Assist district health staff to monitor care at private clinics and EQA at private laboratories Outputs: 299 doctors and 299 clinic assistants at private clinics; also 59 lab. staff at private labs. trained 507 private clinics and 92 private labs. engaged and being supported for delivering TB care as per program guidelines 193 chest camps arranged/ conducted (for 426 new TB cases) 15,966 all type (smear positive: 5,585) TB patients registered (so far) at private clinics
