Strengthening TB drug management in 50 districts of Pakistan (Sep 01, 2009 to Aug 31, 2014) Inadequacies in the distribution, storage and dispensing of TB drugs has been a challenge for delivering quality TB care at more than 1,000 basic management units; training of district and facility level staff to ensure optimal use of available TB drugs at around 500 public and private facilities in 50 districts. Districts: 50 districts spread in all four provinces and AJK, with an estimated population of around 70 million. Activities: Training of public sector district office and store; and facility doctor and allied staff on program-endorsed drug management protocols i.e. demand, transport, store, dispense, report , Training of private health facility doctor and allied staff on program-endorsed drug management protocols i.e. demand, transport, store, dispense, report , Outputs: 342 doctors and 573 allied staff at public health facilities (i.e. rural health centers; sub-district and district hospitals) got trained 111 doctors and 174 allied staff at private health facilities (clinics and hospitals) got trained
